Gary Roodman
Gary Roodman discovered country dancing when he and his family attended Pinewoods Camp. With his background as a math teacher, he sees writing dances as solving mathematical puzzles within tight constraints imposed by (1) how the figures and music fit together, (2) getting everyone progressed just as one cycle of the music concludes, and (3) what dancers find logical and can reasonably remember.
