Born and raised in Vancouver, a city on western side of Canada, OAKUM draws influence from the diverse landscapes surrounding the city such as its temperate rain forest, beaches, and lakes. His sound mixes feel good melodies, atmospheric textures, and driving rhythm into a combination of electronic, indie, and dance music. His influences include Bonobo, Porter Robinson, & ODESZA.
