ANBA is extremely proud to present Parhelion, by Æthereal Arthropod x Seraphim.

Written, recorded and produced between New York City and Galicia over the course of two years, Parhelion finds each musician sharpening and elevating the other's sublime sound design, with the resulting record being a singularly unique and brutal amalgam of extreme music of all genres.

As a cohesive whole, this record is punishing in both its length and musical intensity -- tracks spiral well towards the 20-minute-mark, and rhythms shift and metamorphosize faster than they can be perceived. Tempo is immaterial. Human voices roar with such sun-burned blasphemy that they're almost unrecognizable. On a microscopic level, narratives and images emerge rapidly, before cohering into a deranged insectoid mass.

In the words of the musicians, the record's conceptual grounding is a nexus between concepts of the afterlife and lost histories; incomplete creation myths and an obsession with dread, chthonic beings. This is a useful prism through which to view the record itself; if what you're hearing is the incomplete creation myth, what else has been lost to time? If what you're hearing represents what is merely the perceivable carapace of some world-eating beast, how large is the rest?

As the vacuity of ethos recalls on the ambiguity of space, the antithesis of duality corrodes itself in search of the absolute meaning, the separation of in-between from within, as a hyper-destructive force of catharsis suited for blasphemous triggering to the unknown terror of the abyss, tearing apart shredded knots, untangled reality deathly grasping almost the internal noise of god, dimensions of mythological animals wide open into atemporal manners, sacred guts, the quantic expression of the micronesimal level of cognition fractalized through deity itself as an A.I. periodical pilgrimage, condemned to loop itself until absurdity obliterates the meaning ov man, broken to its core air won’t flow as clear as imagined, freedom from dogma may be harsh and vile.
