Artist's Statement by A Hat So Wide [ALABAMA]

A Hat So Wide is an experimental duo from Gulf Shores, Alabama. Their music employs synthesizers, vocoders, and a sharp sense of lyricism.

The Widest Hat tells us:

"We write music for ourselves, many times from an inquisitive place. We usually get together and jam for upwards of 12 hours, recording everything on iphones and laptops, then we take the best parts and mold them into songs. It's a fun challenge to incorporate vocoders and autotune without them feeling too modern."
