And we're back again! This time got a couple more friends joining me - happy to present to you - Spirit Driver.
A release that came together after a couple months and a few carefully chosen tracks. Inspired by a lot of road trips from rock climbing of late!
Spirit Driver focuses on peak night time ambiance, with a view to the more uplifting side of the genre. Tailored for the slightly deeper vibes on a night out.
Ramsey Neville was dope enough to throw a remix in, in his own signature style - unrelenting in its nature. Hypnotic, atmospheric, driving techno in its purest. A master of tension and release - was lucky enough to meet the man in the flesh twice over the course of the last year - in Cyprus & The Netherlands - fortunate enough to come to his wicked boat party, for his imprint - IMPULSE CØNTROL - based out of New York City. Past releases on the likes of Planet Rhythm, Cocoon & SCI + TEC stamp his consistent output in terms of production and we're more than happy to have him on - proper G.
Jack Jennings comes in with proper punchy groove based rythms - we discovered Jack through the initial release on Argentinian based Complex Fractals. Having played that track from him out in a fair few sets - felt obliged to have him on with a contribution! And a stormer at that, low end driving funky deep rhythms on this one. Club certified soul delivery. His release out on ALU is a personal favourite, along with some of his independent ones - but his recent release on Rave Your Soul is proper funked out. As well as looking forward to another to come on Twice Infinity. Keep on eye on Jack, cause he's gonna lay down some club sauce proper.
Spirit Liberation really focussed on going back to some original edits of mine from a long time ago - looking at bringing big synth lines and merging them with my present percussive approach. Keeping the big room vibes alive in this one.
And my good friend - Rødig - throwing in a flavourful electro breaks remix on this one - so we still got some of that unorthodox left-field dance space covered yo!
