Urban Legend by 9VSS
Urban Legend is a little sound journey which is inspired by street jams and tribal drums. The ambient and percussive elements are recorded by the artist himself during some journeys. The djembe session in the track ‘’Urban’’ is recorded with a 9 year old street musician in Latvia. The tribal drums in the track ‘’Legend’’ is sampled from a percussion recording made together with the kids in Nepal. Also this track contains samples from ‘’Ethnicolor’’ by Jean Michel Jarre. There is also a remix by Otherman in the EP.
Urban Legend, sokak müziğinden ve kabile davullarından ilham alan bir ses yolculuğudur. Parçalardaki ortam sesleri ve perküsyonlar sanatçının yolculukları sırasında kendisi tarafından kaydedilmiştir. ‘’Urban’’ parçasındaki djembe solosu 9 yaşındaki bir sokak müzisyeniyle Letonya'da, ‘’Legend’’ parçasındaki perküsyonlar ise çocuklarla birlikte Nepal’de yaptığı bir ses kaydı kullanılarak oluşturulmuştur.’’Legend’’ ayrıca içerisinde Jean Michel Jarre'nin ‘’Ethnicolor’’ parçasından bazı sesler barındırmaktadır. Ep de aynı zamanda Otherman’den bir remix bulunuyor.
