After Ghosts by Curious Inversions

Remnants of works left idle on hard-drives for too long, finally picked, propped, and prepared for release. An appropriately curious collection of melodic downtempo, clearly on the darker side. Peppered with CI's usual bell-tone leads, laden with thick and layered pads, and heavy with bass. Ambiences make appearances throughout, though never taking too much away from the steady pacing of the album.

This is an album about life lessons, lost opportunities, spiritual deaths and reawakenings. It was made during the course of two critical depressions on the part of the artist, not entirely unrelated to the global goings-on during the time. Each track was written, rejected, re-visited, and rejected again until its final resurrection here. The style may reflect that stumbling of ideas, but is the hope of the artist that there is still merit in the result. Only the listener is allowed to decide: self-judgement, we have learned, is not a luxury possessed of the artist.

Includes one additional track from fellow artist Abdicant which suited the mood.
