As fog lifts off the lake and morning sun burns through the longleaf pines, I sigh.
Yesterday just slips away, and worries of tomorrows wave goodbye.
I hear Spring all around me as God's creatures wake the forest with their song.
The music stirs the slumber of my soul, and begs the heart to sing along.

2.
I stumble on the rocky path with many doubts, and go there just the same.
I almost see the older ones who sat beneath the trees along the way.
I feel the passion of each moment as I watch the gentle woodlands sway.
My soul surrenders to this timeless trail of ancient memories this day.

3.
I question many things in life that bring me to this narrow winding path.
My scattered thoughts are flapping wings that hardly stop to even take a breath.
I long to swim with otters simply making every playful moment last.
And fly as Great Blue Heron over longleaf virgin forests of our past.
