Repetition from Evoke by Alex Roe
Another song I wrote at university over two years ago. The theme of this song is as the title says, repetition!
I can't really remember what the assignment requested. I just know I wanted to make something enjoyable that constantly repeated similar patterns that would blend in and out of one another, so what was originally familiar felt new without having to write much new material to keep it interesting. I guess it was just the timing and implementation of those ideas, the phrasing and rhythms that keep it interesting. I just remember my lecturer really liked it!
