Re-release.
This album hails back to early 1980's nihilistic goth punk rock (think The Sisters of Mercy, Joy Division) and utilizes period accurate instrumentation, equipment and production techniques.
Even though the album may sound dark and dreary for a large part, the songs contained on it certainly are not dreary or depressing - not by a long shot. There are uplifting harmonies, energizing rhythms and empowering lyrics (albeit drowning in a cold and unfeeling digital Space Echo...)
Recorded on analog 8-track tape, digitally mixed and mastered.
A word of warning: This album is a rare concept piece and is - production wise - NOT representative of Alice Deeper's main body of work.
