Lyrics

Garlic is one of the most powerful plants on Earth. It is a natural antibiotic full of antioxidants that reduce high blood pressure, level out cholesterol, detoxify heavy metals in the body, improve bone health, memory, and so much more. Growing up, my mother put it in everything which made our breath stink real bad but never once did we go to the doctor or ever need to. During the winter months, she most commonly made a garlic tea with onion, lemon, honey, and clovers. We hated drinking it but now in my 20s all I dream of is getting those proportions right. I have never seen my mother use a measuring device, she just Knows. And so when I ask, I am told, you’ll just know, listen.
It is no mystery that the use of garlic as medicine (among other things such as ginger, clover, and oil of oregano) is an ancestral practice we inherited from ancient Egypt as both the Jews and the indigenous peoples ate it daily to boost physical stamina, mental clarity and fight off parasites and/or disorders. Later, in Europe, the Roma AKA gypsies (also of my lineage originally from India passing through the Middle East, Europe, and the US) used garlic for psychic healing.
While on the road the Roma mostly made their money entertaining people through music, dance, storytelling, snake charming, and palm-card reading. During these performances and acts of magic, garlic would come up regularly as both a symbol and prescription. During the bubonic plague doctors often carried garlic in their pockets to ward off the stench of disease and later used the stinky allium as an antiseptic to prevent Gangrene in WWI and II. Today garlic is expensive just like everything else. So grow it! Each clove will produce a whole head if you take care of it right. 1. Clove in small container with water, direct sunlight, leave for 7-14 days until it begins to sprout. 2. Transfer sprouted clove into some soil half a finger deep, leave for 30-50 days. 3. Dig it up and make some bread for the dead!
