Prelude #93 by Allen Rickel

Completed on June 26, 2022, Prelude #93 is an exercise. After seeing a video about a scale with which I was unfamiliar, I decided to have a go at writing something employing that scale, which is called the double harmonic major scale. What this involves is starting with a standard major scale (C-D-E-F-G-A-B, for instance) and altering the second and sixth notes by moving them down a half step (C-D flat-E-F-G-A flat-B). The result is very dark and offers some unusual opportunities.
