TIMELINES by AMPHITRIO
This album explores freedom of musical expression by crossing stylistic boundaries and blending diverse tastes. It highlights the immeasurable value of ancient traditional music, transforming various influences from the musical folklore of eghit former communist countries (Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Serbia, Slovakia, Poland and Germany) into the focal point of each song.
The tracks on Timelines tell their own stories, inspired by national legends or by the customs and traditions that are central to the identity of each country. The album thus aims to promote national identities by showcasing each country’s authenticity and uniqueness, while offering a fresh musical perspective on the cultural heritage of Central and Eastern Europe.

Amphitrio is a project that was created in 2020, when members’ musical ideas and the group synergy became convergent, so that the three had the opportunity to materialise their musical plans.
Pianist and composer Andrei Petrache, bassist Mike Alex and percussionist Philip Goron, form a trio with a solid background in classical and alternative music.
