The Fall by Anchor End
As terrible as 2020 was, quarantine offered one positive thing, an opportunity to spend time writing and recording this album.
Newer songs written during quarantine reflect some of the issues weighing on all of us this year. "Lie To Me" is about the negative impacts of social media, drawing influence from the documentary "The Social Dilemma". "Losing Grip" was written while spending time riding bike and running, and is meant to weave together both the literal sense of riding and biking while also using language that reflects the protests surrounding George Floyd's death and the BLM movement. The title track "The Fall" and "Darkest Before Dawn" came out when dealing with the anxiety of the 2020 election. Other songs like "Move Along", "Mouthful", and "Fly Over Country" had been in progress for nearly 5 years and just needing some time to complete.
The final 3 songs are from a former band, Shelbyville.
