Holy Glade by Andy Aquarius
Spiritual folklore & pastoral psychedelia from the ancient pit of the stomach. This EP is the result of my 2nd hermitage in this remote & retired Church of the Holy Cross deep in the Croatian mountains; surrounded by bears, an uncropped wilderness and a deep silence that's only broken up by the occasional passing by of one of the few villagers that still inhabit the area.
For these ten days I tuned into a very forlorn & immemorial wavelength and had Saints, Angels and a weeping Madonna stare down at me for hours and hours from within their canvas bodies that they were locked into by painters long forgotten.
These songs were specifically composed for this church. All recordings happened within its very walls and thus, with the final closing of the door, their spirit was hermetically sealed in thyme and spathe.
'Holy Glade' is a follow-up to my 'Holy Rude' EP.
Both 'Holy Rude' and 'The Organs Of Matter Wheel' were recorded in the same church during my first stay in this region in 2023.
