Release Me by Anna Coddington
The yacht-rock inspired ‘Release Me’ features a driving rhythm sitting alongside a riff which lures in the listener. Featuring the incredible rhythm section of Chris O’Connor and Mike Hall, alongside keys from Steph Brown (LIPS) and guitar from Jeremy Toy, ‘Release Me’ shows Coddington lyrically at her best. Doubtful and uncertain lyrics given life through the amazing vocal talent of Coddington, and sung with all of the feelings.
Auckland-based singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer, runner, mother, Māori, vegetarian, would-be linguist, etc. Human with feelings and an outlet for them thank god.
