Ready by Arih SK
This album took 4 years to make, spans 10 years of my life, and encapsulates so many memories and relationships. Things I was ready for and things I was definitely not ready for: moving in with someone, adopting a pet, breaking up, trying to understand things, trying to move on, meeting someone new, losing a parent, and becoming a parent. The cycle of love, loss, and then love again. This plays itself out in the lyrics and it played itself out during the recording process. My dear friend, Jordan Rutledge, devoted so much time to this project and never got to see the finished product. That hurts, but then I can also hear his guitar and backing vocals on a few tracks and the bitterness recedes. Amanda Lyn Parker helped me pick up the pieces and finish the album. Mastering by Siegfried Meier at Beach Road Mastering. I’m forever thankful to my family and my extended Niagara Music family who all helped make this thing happen and get me through.

Arih SK is an artist living and working in St. Catharines, Ontario. He has a knack for writing short, slightly upbeat songs with simple melodies about loss, nostalgia, family, and relationships. Recording in basements and garages, campers and vans, SK instills a little of the grit of life into his tracks.
