“Ashlands I” is the first in a self-titled trilogy of EPs.

Fleeing from their villages destroyed by a cruel and senseless war, a group of roamers is forced to traverse the ominous Ashlands: once the home of a myth-shrouded ancestral civilization, now – after centuries of tremendous volcanic eruptions – a scorching, suffocating landscape of ash and gaping underground ruins. Unaware of the lurking threats of this sunken kingdom, the travelers manage to follow one of the lost pathways, and escape unharmed to the other side of the uncannily beautiful Ashlands.

But their journey is far from over, and it will not only be a physical one: it will take them through labyrinths of memory and remorse; through many perils and otherworldly wonders, hunted by the ever-hurting nostalgia of their distant homeland; confronting phantoms of loss, human frailty and grief – as the shadow of Death closes in upon them.
