“Alpha Theistic” proves to be a ground-breaking atheistic journey of 56 minutes.
AthanaTheos plays a mix of Death and Black Metal and is also a Metal band which features Gregorian chants in its music. But it is important to mention that absolutely no Gregorian chants samples are used; they are all created, arranged and sung by Sam.
“Alpha Theistic” is composed of nine tracks and show a tremendous progression in regard to the demo “Soul injected”.
More technical, brutal and intense, the songs were enhanced with various atmospheres and memorable parts.
From the brutal opening of “Dawn of genesis” to the progressive and monumental “The souls’ congregation”, the listener goes through diverse emotions: groovy liberation (“freedom shall never come from God”), devastating power (“Everything that is on the earth shall perish”), staccato rhythm sections and Egyptian mood (“To harden the heart”), epic Thrash Metal (“Purification by primordial waters”), violent hysteria (“You are not”), ternary rhythm and dark oppression (“As your lord was in the storm”) and mosh pit breaking necks (“Ghost And Chimera”).
