Christmas 2019 by Horn of Africa

Okay so I've wanted to make an Elephant 6-esque christmas album since I was 18-ish, and josh and rob and I wrote some songs for the chord organ when I was 19, and then I didn't put those out bc they were all really unfinished and I didn't want another unsavory ties. One of them came out, actually, as "tears of jupiter", but the others like the waltzes and "Mr. Wire" never came out. When I was 19 I also wrote most of the poem that became the bonus track (it was unfit for actual track status, and is pretty unsavory ties-esque). When I was 21 (I'm almost positive 21, though maybe I was 20), I recorded 90% of this album though didn't put it out bc "Night Of The Dream King" wasn't coming out well, so I shelved it for a year. Now, there's the new song "Tekton" and a cover of "Feel Better" by Beds ( https://bedz.bandcamp.com/track/feel-better ) and bass on "they get sticky".

I forgot where I got the cover image. I had it saved on imgur since I was a kid

thank you to the Pusz family for letting me borrow their saw (I live in Kansas City now but I promise to bring it back), Katrina K for letting me use her bow, Sophie J for letting me use her bass and drums, and Beds for giving me the go-ahead for covering Feel Better.

July 23rd 2023 edit: the "cover image" in reference is the *old* cover image which is still included with the album's files. The new cover image is the J-card, which was also always in the album download's files but now it's the main main cover. The collage on the cover is made from images from Winsor McCay's "Little Nemo" series (essential elephant 6-core comfy christmas reading), a painting of Shiva and Parvati's family resting in Mount Kailash from an, as far as I can tell, anonymous painting from the 18th century (that I took from wikipedia), fonts and snowflake pattern assets that I stole/screenshotted, wingdings, a photo of (I believe) the Roald Amundsen expedition to the south pole where the flag is replaced by an album cover from "Beds", and a Calvin & Hobbes strip

October 31st 2023 edit: I updated the file used for Tekton to lower the vocals a bit. The original mix is now a bonus track
