Five years - seen, and yet unseen.
Five years, time was on our side
Or so it seemed.

Five years we held the line -
The muse takes her dues in time.
A year seems forever when you’re young,
We had five years in the sun…
Now we’re twenty-five years undone.

And when the battle’s nearly won,
Just one hill to conquer,
Will you fight or will you run?
Will you say it’s over when we’ve only just begun?
Still unseen…

Five years we built the dream,
When the pieces fit we made the scene.
The hours and the years all pass the same,
We had five years to play the game.

And when the puzzle’s nearly done,
But one piece is missing
