“When Igor (Olejar) told me the story of how politics and finance had ruined Buran's chances of ever getting the same use and fame as NASA's space shuttle programme, despite being equally, if not better designed, I felt the injustice not only paralleled what many creatives go through, but that it's a subject that needs airing. Our society seems to measure the value of everything only in terms of profit, which can only spell disaster for creativity and innovation. In my lyrics, I just ask the question...What the hell is it all for if we don't get to fly?”
