Pathfinder by BabaSound

At the origin of this piece of music there is the request of one of my friends who having particularly appreciated my track « looking back » asked me to further develop this soundscapes/synths interactions idea. This music is dedicated to him.

You will tell me that mixing natural sounds and music is not something new and I will agree with you but what is originality if not this old-fashioned form/substance interplay. We are all trying to say/do the same thing. This is what is interesting in art and why we are still able to feel emotions in front of cave paintings.

In this track, I tried to highlight some of the relationships existing between music and nature by playing (I mean having fun!) with scales, sounds, their harmonic contents and granularity, grooves, volumes, spatial localization, movements and silence. I would like it not to be a musical accompaniment of a soundscape but something more “organic”. It’s intentionally naive because what matters is the relationship not the form. It’s not brilliant because I want it to be a kind of “meta”- soundscape you need to listen to carefully. I hope something will happen...
