Teenage Lover by Bashford & Friends

Teenage Lover began as a soundtrack for the period piece short film "I Got You Babe," and evolved into a passion project featuring a dozen of my good friends, who happen to be musicians I highly admire.

The album is a pastiche of 60s music, taking inspiration from artists such as The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Supremes, The Four Seasons, The Mamas & the Papas, The Miracles, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, The Zombies, and more.

This mix of original brit-rock, motown, surf-rock, folk, and doo-wop music hearkens back to the sun-filled days of teenage passion, while also exploring the melancholic introspection of those who have left youthful exuberance behind.
