I have been writing songs seriously for over ten years now. By most definitions my music career cannot be deemed a commercial success; in fact there has been a lot of rejection. I am perfectly fine with that, at least for this moment. For doing this has made my life better. It has helped me embrace my life’s scars and my life’s stars while giving me a meaningful purpose. Songwriting. I am grateful for it. The bulk of these tunes were written during my family’s recovery from Hurricane Ike. We had a child on the way and were rebuilding both our home and the way we looked at life. These songs helped patch me up. I tried to write out of different fountains of inspiration. Some cerebral, some corporal, some celestial, some anti-grammatical, but all of them helped. I hope you enjoy the offerings and that you get a solid bowl of Chili involved.
This album is dedicated to my brother, David. I love you.
Players:
Ben Hall- vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica
Huke Green- harmonica
Jonathan Lin- violin
Sam Barker- bass, boxer bass, stud muffin, and lap steel
Tommy Worley- guitar, Bass
Production:
Cristi and Huke Green- Sauna Studios
Thank you to all involved on this record, including you Mr. Mouse.
