Something New from TILT by Bertie Anderson Haggart

Something New celebrates Spring in all it's glory.

Whilst the lyrics are all about spring and new life the arrangement is entirely inspired by ‘orch pop’, the sonic world of the pop orchestras of the 1960s and 1970s. As a 19 year old feeling lost and not knowing whether I wanted to continue playing the viola, I would listen to Morricone, Mancini, Bacharach, Herb Alpert & the TJB, riding on the top deck beside Hyde Park wearing tinted yellow shades. Unabashed & gloriously romantic, emotional and nostalgic and always filling me with warm feelings.
