Social Creatures is about growing up in a commercialized, postmodern America, where identity has slowly dissolved and been broken down into a slew of images and brands and where communication and relationships are callous and fleeting. Social Creatures is about simultaneously feeling interconnected and isolated, needing some form of sedation from the cesspool even though by sedating yourself you become more of a participant in it.
