After Sunset by Bing Satellites

A stand alone ambient album inspired by the wonderful sunsets of midsummer.

A change of scenery and being out of the city for a while can have quite a profound effect on the music I make. I am used to the constant noise and the hustle and bustle of living in the centre of a busy city. This stand alone piece was recorded away from that in a much more peaceful location, in the outskirts of the city, bordering the countryside and Pennine Hills.

There is fresher air, peace and quiet and the sky is clearer at night, leading to fantastic sunsets and opportunities to see many more stars.

This album was recorded with a very minimal set up, a laptop, a MIDI keyboard and a portable recorder. With these elements, I tried to make a piece of music that hinted at its structure rather than shouted it out. A deliberate vagueness as to what is going on here.
