Blackhaine and longtime collaborator Rainy Miller develop the dramatic storyline of Armour on a scintillating follow-up to their breakthru 2020 debut.
Revolving visceral reflections on a slow motion car crash, Armour II sees Blackhaine and former classmate, now his producer, Rainy, brilliantly advance on and inhabit their socialist-realist style of drill noise sonic fiction thru a refined arsenal of narrative devices, amplified in effect by astonishingly inventive sound design.
Drawing on lessons learned since their cult first instalment, Blackhaine brings a heightened emotional intelligence and poetic dexterity to Rainy’s most ravishing fusions of drill and ambient noise for six songs that artfully dissect and render the question of life and death thru a lens of lived experience.
