BLACKSHAPE is a post-metal band from Salt Lake City, UT. The stunning music video for their song "ITIIITIATIIHYLIHYL", also affectionately known as “IHYL”, “I Hope You Live”, and “X”, found a worldwide audience in 2024 and introduced YouTube to BLACKSHAPE's cinematic, gaze-adjacent sound. Currently, BLACKSHAPE is working on new music slated for release in 2025.
