The eighth release from Bloxham Tapes is from Oxfordshire-based multi-instrumentalist GREENING LAMBOURNE. Succinct mission statement: “Greening Lambourne employs a variety of analogue and digital devices in a quest to make sounds and music that embrace the possibilities of freedom.”

Ten heat-haze instrumentals for treated electric guitar, synths and pedals make up the compelling ‘Blank Noir’. This is Greening Lambourne’s third outing under this moniker and follows on from his two limited edition self-releases in 2018 – 'Thought LEADER' and 'Thought PARTNER'. Quoth Lambourne: “Clouds of FX-heavy synth and guitar float by but there is always Melody in the Murk (™).”

Greening Lambourne cites “books, buildings and the companionship of wild creatures” as his primary influences on the selection process for this collection for Bloxham Tapes. This is not his first appearance on the label, however: Greening Lambourne is also a core member of Wingéd Ma’at, who present their follow-up to BT01 in 2019.
