Songs to Celia...

This collection was recorded using a new, black Squier Custom Baritone Telecaster, the first time that I'd ever played a non-standard guitar. With heavier gauge strings and a different tuning, it proved to be a inspiring change.

After its arrival, I soon gave this deeper, darker sounding instrument a name - Valeria (after a long-since deceased great aunt) but somehow that just didn't seem to stick and shortly after, for some obscure reason, the name Celia came to mind and stayed with me.

The music here was almost exclusively recorded using Celia, the sole exception to this being an old electro-acoustic FG series Yamaha making an appearance on "Celia III".

N.B. An expanded and developed version of "Celia II (First Version)" is planned for a Granny Takes a Trip release perhaps later this year.
