Journey by Casco Bay Tummlers

This recording moves forward and back: in time and place, in spirit, and in mood. There are some classic traditional tunes, some old tunes reinvented, a number of original pieces, a Ladino song and a couple of visits to musical cousins from Greece and Macedonia. The CD begins with some serious reflections and gradually moves on to a big party, followed by a lullaby. Enjoy the journey.

The Casco Bay Tummlers have been performing klezmer music since 1988. In their five-decade-spanning career, they’ve released three albums, toured Germany, Slovenia, Italy, and Lithuania, scored a Belgian documentary, and played at countless mitzvahs, weddings, and simchas. Their long-awaited 4th album, a collaboration with keyboardist-producer Jamie Saft, is due out May 16th on Team Love Records.
