FAULT by Cataldo Cappiello

This instrumental, progressive metal single explores the theme of "FAULT" in its dual meaning: A fault in the system, being a broken cog in a machine. But also acknowledging and exploring one's guilt - it's my fault.

Once again, Don't Stop Studio took on the challenge of working on the mix + master process of an overcrowded, unapologetically different track - and the results are once more nothing less than excellent. 🌘

There's no guitars in "FAULT". All you hear is a heavily, brutally distorted electric bass - a Steinberger Spirit by Steinberger Guitars. ⚡

The crisp, heavy, crushing bass tone has been obtained through Archetype: Plini X by Neural DSP, plus several pitch shifters and unforgiving cuts on the timeline. 🩸

Choirs from Requiem Light Symphonic Choir by Soundiron Audio have been sent through the Archetype plugin as well, resulting in what sounds like desperate cries from hell or, as a friend of mine said, a beast that awakens.

The enormous drum kit sound was made with Modern & Massive by GetGoodDrums - that kick was really put to a test in the song's outro, and the high quality samples really made a difference here. 🔥
