Not a project but an ongoing outfit, this marks a bold first step that few others could equal. A stand-out line-up of such experienced musicians as featured on Nightrage’s debut wouldn’t have promised less than the masterpiece of sophisticated, modern death metal that "Sweet Vengeance" delivers savagely and repeatedly, but the actual unending amount of sophisticated melody, monumental riffs as well as ever-spilling vocal hook lines to be found on this album is purely incredible. Followers of Swedish death metal, here is your new addiction: “Sweet Vengeance”!
