Eliane from Distelfink by chaircrusher
Eliane Radigue is a venerated elder in electronic music. I recorded her speaking in a promotional piece for her piece “Occam XXV” Her voice is filtered and broke down to random syllables to provide texture. An early version just played her voice without modifying it but it felt like it appropriated too much, particularly with no permission from Ms. Radigque. The rearrangement of samples is a core practice on Distelfink. I love how speech detached from syntax is still speech.
