Rain falling through a canopy of leaves
So many clouds between you and me
The sun breaks thru every once and awhile
Dazzling tear drops and holiday smiles

But there is hope on the horizon
That some day this will clear
Like my reflections in the puddles
Every time I draw you near

Spirit of rainbows is a spirit of tear
It takes one to draw the other one near
Swirling storm clouds and violet haze
There will always be lonely days

It's been dry so long
Now I'm drenched to the bone
With echos of passions thunderous tones

But now the rain has subsided
And the clouds hold their ground
With a sad and soggy melancholy
Pitter patter sound
As the wind shakes the leaves
Memories of rain still cling
Falling to fill my wishing well
Of impossible dreams
