My sails caught wind and whispered tales,
Of stars that fell in love.
Of yearning shores with shivering sands,
adorned with diamond rings.

Of herons in their flight,
Leaving behind but shadows.
And ships alongside quays,
Walked silently by the surge.

Of fiery stripes of flaming manes,
That raced along the sunset.
That shrouds of mist have swallowed since,
And hold no voice to name.

On starlit skies when moons appear,
Above the great clear heavens.
The hours perfumed and filled with love,
Embrace my life and yours.

I headed south instead of north,
Mistaking earth for water.
I searched for trails to go,
Where rivers long had lost their course.

I built a home inside my heart,
With many different chambers.
Whence moved Iemanjá, goddess of seas,
To gather shades of pale.

To paint my dreams,
Of shooting stars,
And blossom wafted,
Waves.
