Orchard Ballad from This Ride by Ciaran Winter
Ciaran first sees his True Love, Marjie at Ye Old Orchard Pub (the laden trees of the song), where he plays music and she just got a job waiting tables. The Montreal Alouettes (the Birds) were in the Grey Cup final (the chalice!) but Ciaran couldn't concentrate on the game. They were both at the end of their respective marriages at the time. What followed was ten long years of wanting to get together, but they were never in the right place at the same time, until one day, Marjie woke up and came to her senses. Ciaran would always message her on the full moon to have a look, and when they finally got together, it was Valentine's Day, and there was a full moon.
