I sit on the hillside and gaze out across the town.
Where did all the green fields go?
Who cut the forests down?

How long til we realise
the world is under attack?
I hear mother nature crying
we’ve got to bring the balance back.

Sleep deeply my baby,
wipe the teardrop from your eye
You won’t watch the world around you
cos you can’t bear to see it die.

So many rivers run with poison
so much waste dumped in the sea.
We bury garbage out of sight is out of mind
it ends up in the food we eat.

As long as man rapes creation
she’ll die a little every day
What kind of world will we live in
once we’ve thrown this one away?
