Restrictions de nos libertés, un monde définitivement différent, tel est le sentiment vécu aujourd'hui depuis l'arrivée du virus de l'autre bout du monde.

Tous ces mois passés m'ont fait vivre une palette d'émotions, de colère, de nervosité mais aussi d'espérance et de sérénité d'un retour à l'essentiel.

Si les "grands" artistes ont pu "profiter" des moments d'isolement pour créer à tout va, pour ma part, mes petites musiques auront été ces tentatives de partager et de faire sortir tout ce ressenti, mais sans avoir pour moi des journées entières à ne rien faire, que nenni.

Comme pour mes deux précédents albums, la technique est restée la même. Des micro sessions d'une heure pour faire sortir tout ce qui est dans ma tête suivi d'une seconde pour finaliser le projet.

C'est donc encore et toujours avec les sons issus des VSTi 4KLang et 64Klang2 programmés par pOWL et Gopher du monde de la Demoscène, que j'ai réalisé mes projets y ajoutant quelques instruments de mon Mini Nova, un peu de Vocoder, des idées trouvées sur mon iPad avec Synth One...

Si les sonorités et l'approche sont similaires à mes précédents projets, j'ai néanmoins tenté de musicalement envisager mes musiques sur d'autres style, sur d'autres rythmes. J'ai donc d'un côté analysé un peu plus les morceaux modernes qu'écoutent mes enfants, beat et basse ont donc évolués. Mais je me suis aussi laissé embarquer dans des projets un peu dingues, mélangeant ce style électro-minimaliste avec des guitares de blues jouées par l'un de mes partenaires professionnels, Jean-Pol Lardot ou encore ressorti un projet plus pop-groove réalisé il y a une quinzaine d'années avec Alex Carione.

Comme précédemment, ces musiques sont en lien avec les thème principaux  des projets de vidéos de Teaser réalisés pour les MOOC de l'Université sur lesquels j'ai travaillés ces dernières années.

Cet album est aussi pour la première fois, un album où j'ai pu faire une petite place à mon fiston, youtuber sous le pseudo Tongo Charly. De manière générale, cetalbum est tout spécialement dédicacé à mes 4 enfants qui devront demain reprendre le monde que nous leur aurons laissé.

Restrictions of our freedom, a definitively different world, such is the feeling experienced today since the arrival of the virus from the other part of the world.

All the past months made me live a palette of emotions, anger, nervousness but also hope and serenity of a return to the essential.

If the "great" artists have been able to take advantage of the moments of isolation to create artistic projects, for my part, my little music will have been these attempts to share and to make all this feeling come out, but without having for me whole days to do nothing.

As for two previous albums, the technique remained the same. Micro sessions of one hour to get out all that is in my head followed by a second one to finalize the project.

So it is still and always with the sounds coming from the VSTi 4KLang and 64Klang2 programmed pOWL from the Demoscene world, that I realized my projects adding some instruments from my Mini Nova, some Vocoder, some ideas found on my iPad with Synth One...

If the sounds and the approach are similar to my previous projects, I nevertheless tried to musically consider my music on other styles, on other rhythms. So on the one hand I have analyzed a little more the modern songs that my children listen to, beat and bass have thus evolved. But I also let myself embark in some crazy projects, mixing this electro-minimalist style with blues guitars played by one of my professional partners, Jean-Pol Lardot, or even a more pop-groove project realized about fifteen years ago with Alex Carione.

But also some music whose main theme is hooked to teaser videos for the MOOCs of the University I worked on these last years.

It is also for the first time, an album where I could make a small place to my son, youtuber under the pseudo Tongo Charly. But in a general way, this album is especially dedicated to my 4 children who will have to take back tomorrow the world we left them.

Pierre MARTIN aka Cyborg Jeff loves music till his young age. Influenced by the first sounds of the Commodore 64 and Nintendo Gameboy but also the EuroDance nineties beat. He found the perfect direction with the Amiga SoundTracker approach of music creation till 1995 with more than 2000 tracks and 35 albums.
