Based in Bathurst and the Blue Mountains, in the Country of the Gundungurra, Dharug and Wiradjuri nations, Cymbrogi is a musical collaboration between five of the most accomplished and respected traditional musicians the region has to offer:
Glenda Kelly - Fiddle
Jane Anderson - Guitar & Flute
Libby Bell - Button Accordion, Vocals, Mandolin
Roger Hargraves - Fiddle, Vocals, Whistle
Nick Rigby - Bouzouki & Vocals
The band takes it's name from the old Cymraeg (Welsh) word meaning "companions of the heart", truly capturing the spirit of their musical project.
Cymbrogi Un is their first album, hence the name "Un" ("een"), the Cymraeg word for "One".
Cymbrogi Un takes you on an exciting musical journey through the ancient trade routes, sea lanes and drove roads of the connected Atlantic cultures. From Cumbria to Clare, Northumbria to Ellan Vannin, and Asturias to Cornwall, step aboard and travel with Cymbrogi as a companion of the heart.....
