Been cooped up for too long so I took off in my car.
I didn’t think this itch would turn into a scar.
I thought it was just another bump up on the track.
This one left me stranded no way to get back.

Houston we have a problem…
But I’ve got my roadside angel comin’ through.
She’s keeping back the clouds bringin‘ the skies of blue.

Gambling I set my heart on the dotted line.
I broke my own rules I didn’t read the sign.
My fortune was exchanged for this pony I did ride.
Peeling back the rind finding only rust inside.

Out of gas with a broken mast and Lord I felt like dying.
My astrologist companion kept this hurt in’ boy from cryin’.
