I can’t put my head at ease, it’s been turning as we speak. Tripping in the dark’s not the hardest part, but I wish that I could see anything that comes our way before it hits my goddamn face. I’ve been learning slow that I’ll never know how to skip over mistakes.

And there will be days and there will be nights that will slip right past your eyes. And when they’re gone you’ll be holding on.

Paradise so far away, I still feel it like an ache. Tripping towards the edge, I can see the end but I’m still being dumb enough to chase. You stomach all my big ideas, they’re losing all of their appeal. I’m a pillar of salt ground to a halt, no more seconds left to steal.

And there will be days and there will be nights that will slip right past your eyes. And when they’re gone you’ll be holding on.
