This track is based on the "fita" (melodic fragment) composed by Theodor Christian (153?-1607) on the word "rejoice" from the old canticle to the saint Sergij Radonezhsky service (1314-1392) which was created by Pachomius Logothetes (14??-1484) in znamenny chant style.

Denis Sorokin is educated as classical and jazz guitarist. He mostly performs music of composers from Wandelweiser, and his own experimental transcriptions of medieval music.
