All of us together are now experiencing floods, wildfires, and hurricanes. In light of the impacts of climate disasters on everyone, many of us are living with a psychological phenomenon known as "cognitive dissonance." Despite accepting the validity of climate science, we struggle to connect the dots between our behaviours and the daily climate-related crises we now experience first hand. To cope with this internal conflict, many of us choose to ignore the issue completely, preferring to remain in a state of denial and forgetfulness. This song is about us, the well meaning majority…and the complex, unsettling circumstances in which we all now navigate.
