Human by Dirk Diamond

This is an album that hones in on a few difficult aspects of human experience, something of a wonder through states of mind, vulnerability in many respects, and some degree of existential crisis. It's a little dark, with a little light peppered throughout, and draws in on aspects of my own experience. It's by no means a generalisation of human experience, and there are some key things missing, with respect to the brighter side of life, community values, etc, though some light does creep in, but I've mainly focussed on somewhat more difficult experiences, because I think these tend to grab hold of us more than our nicer moments. It's not entirely me, myself, and no one else, because I think a lot of it is quite relatable, but then again I'm potentially speaking for those I know, rather more than anyone I don't.

I've been writing songs for a long time, because it's something I enjoy doing, and that's about it.

I get a lot out of being creative in this way, in much the same way others do in other respects.

This is me when I'm busy not doing my day to day job, and attending to everything else that crops up, a hobby that I'm more than happy to share, in some hope that something somewhere shines though!
