Definition of petrichor
: a distinctive, earthy, usually pleasant odor that is associated with rainfall especially when following a warm, dry period and that arises from a combination of volatile plant oils and geosmin released from the soil into the air and by ozone carried by downdrafts.

Petrichor was a project written for meditation, relaxation, and overall mental peace. General anxiety and past traumas sometimes make it hard for me to focus and feel comfortable. I have found relief from these feelings in focused breathing, meditation, mindfulness, music, and prayer. Music has been the most powerful tool for me in feeling calm and relaxed. I compose this ambient music because it acts as a meditation or mantra for me. It helps me center myself and quiets the mind. For those who listen, I hope that it brings you similar calmness and harmony.
