Driften's debut is a concept album recorded at home in 2020. The music consists of two voices and the sounds of everyday life, warped and twisted, and delivered through a feverish, hypnotic filter. It's a meditation with erotic overtones; an album influenced by performance art, psychedelia and horror movies as well as by Steve Reich, Brian Eno and Harold Budd.

Driften is a room that you enter.

It holds no space for distractions.

It holds no riffs, nor melodies, nor choruses.

You enter it.

You close the door behind you.

You’re blindfolded.

You’re probably naked, too.

You’re alone, or with someone dear to you.

You’re at your most perceptive (a state only you know how to achieve).
