Redline forms when existing sonics are blown out to their limits, and mutations crystallise in the distortion.
23 artists across 13 cities, 9 countries and 4 continents received these principles and have come together to crystallise a new vision of Electronic Music from East & South-East Asia. This unification of sounds is Redline Impact.
In 2021 Eastern Margins released our first compilation album, Redline Legends, an interpretation of electronic mutations local to South-East Asia, such as Indonesia’s Funkot, Vietnam’s Vinahouse, Filipino Budots, Malaysia’s and Singapore’s Manyao. Redline Legends was the sound of Jakarta curbside Mobile Legends sessions, Kuala Lumpur traffic jams, Taipei Temple Raves and 5AM Banh Mi stands in Saigon.
Redline Impact is the evolution.
We push those mutations to their sonic limits, evolving the Redline.
